NEW DELHI: A 18-year-old girl was crushed to death by a dumper truck after the vehicle hit the two-wheeler she was riding on, in north-east Delhi Swaroop Nagar. The dumper driver identified as Narenderpal.
According to police, the victim was returning home from market along with her friend on her two-wheeler when the incident took place near Bhalswa Dairy.“A speeding dumper truck hit her scooty from behind and the victim fell on the ground, following which her head got crushed under the wheels of the truck, killing her on the spot,” said a police official.
The teen was identified through the registration number of the two-wheeler and her family members were contacted.

Honda unveils ambitious $3.4 billion plan for electric two-wheelers
Honda, the leading Japanese automaker, announced a substantial investment of 500 billion yen ($3.4 billion) in the production of electric motorcycles and mopeds within this decade. As the world’s foremost producer of two-wheelers, Honda aims to introduce 30 new electric models by 2030 and reduce the current cost of electric motorcycles by 50 percent. The company outlined its commitment, stating a 100 billion yen investment between 2021 and 2025 for motorcycle electrification, with an additional 400 billion yen allocated for the period from 2026 to 2030.
