Metro Connectivity to Airport
Also, the government has recently proposed 37-kilometre a new Metro route from Hebbal and Sarjapur at an estimated cost of Rs 15000. The proposed alignment, which is under construction of the centre at present, will connect Sarjapur to Hebbal through Agara, Koramangala and Dairy Circle.
Improving Road Connectivity
The government is also exploring possibilities of building tunnel roads to connect the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) with the IT corridors and the city centre. A high-level meeting was held under Deputy Chief Minister K Shivakumar decided to hold a feasibility study for the tunnel roads between Hebbal and KR Puram via Mehkri Circle, Bengaluru Cantonment railway station, and Old Madras Road. A second stretch would connect Silk Board from Cantonment through Double Road, Lalbagh, and Hosur Road.
Under the Comprehensive Development Project Scheme commenced in 2018, a new road is already under construction between Outer Ring Road, Kadubeesanahalli, and the proposed Peripheral Ring Road in Gunjur. The government is also planning to connect the road connected further to Devanahalli where the airport locates.

Growing IT Sector in North Bengaluru
The IT industry in Northern Bengaluru is booming significantly, banking on the new development prospects of the area. North Bangalore is home to a number of large IT parks, such as Manyata Tech Park and Ecopolis.
