Mumbai is hosting Inter Dairy Expo 2024, an event that marks a significant milestone for India’s rapidly growing dairy sector. The expo, scheduled for December 5-7, 2024, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, promises to be a showcase of sustainable technologies and innovations.
India currently holds the position as the world’s leading milk producer. With an annual growth rate of 9%, the country’s dairy market is projected to reach USD 230 billion by 2030. This growth is driven by new technologies and government support that enhance productivity and efficiency across the industry.
Highlighting the importance of the dairy sector, Dr. R.S. Sodhi, President of the Indian Dairy Association, emphasized its role in providing livelihoods to rural households and empowering women. Complementary events at the expo, including seminars and awards, aim to solidify India’s position in the global dairy market.
