NEW DELHI: Police have busted a unit selling fake ghee, made in Dichau Kalan of Dwarka, which was sold using counterfeit labels of Amul, Mother Dairy, Milkfood and Naksh Dairy.
Two workers at the unit have been apprehended.
Police have seized a considerable quantity of the material that was being sold in tetra packs with the fakelabels.
The factory owner, identified as Sumit, is untraceable.
M Harshvardhana, deputy commissioner of police (Dwarka), said, “A raid was conducted on Sunday by the district investigation unit and vigilance branch of Dwarka. One aluminium tub containing a ghee-like substance, weighing machines, a stove, and 500-ml and 1,000-ml tetra pack boxes ofwhat looked like Mother Dairy, Amul, Milkfood, NakshDairy were found.”
