TIRUPATI: Bharata Chaitanya Yuvajana (BCY) party chief, Bode Ramachandra Yadav, has addressed a letter to Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
In the letter, he expressed his desire to donate 1 lakh desi indigenous cows to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. This donation is contingent upon the Tirupati trust moving forward to establish its own dairy unit to become self-reliant in milk production and ghee processing, which are required in the preparation of the sacred Laddu prasadams and other Naivedya prasadams at the Tirumala temple.
In his letter to the CM, Ramachandra Yadav stated that the episode of adulterated ghee used in the preparation of the sacred Laddu prasadams at the world-renowned Tirumala temple caused extreme anguish and heartburn among millions of ardent devotees of Lord Venkateswara Swamy worldwide.
“The root cause of this entire issue is that the Tirupati trust is dependent on private dairy firms to procure ghee. If the TTD establishes its own dairy firm and is able to become self-reliant in terms of ghee production, the divinity of the sacred Tirumala prasadams can be protected for several years in the future,” the BCY chief noted.
Ramachandra Yadav urged the TDP-led NDA govt to direct the Tirupati trust to study the feasibility of establishing its own dairy unit at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the BCY chief also sought the chief minister to exercise utmost caution while constituting the next TTD trust board amidst the ongoing Laddu-ghee adulteration issue.
Ramachandra Yadav stated that the erstwhile YSRCP govt turned the TTD trust board into a safe haven for corporates and politicians in the past.
“The TDP-led NDA govt should appoint personalities with a spiritual background and eminent personalities in the next TTD trust board to efficiently streamline the administrative and spiritual affairs at the TTD,” the BCY chief urged the Chief Minister.
