Jaisalmer: A labourer died on the spot and two others were seriously injured when a boiler at a dairy exploded at Bhata village in Sindhari area of Balotra district on Monday afternoon.
Police said Bharat Singh and two coworkers—Vikram Singh and Chain Singh—were working on installing the dairy plant near an agricultural well when suddenly the boiler exploded.Bharat Singh died on the spot due to burns, and the two coworkers received serious burn injuries. The blast reportedly occurred due to intense heat.
On hearing the sound of the blast, nearby people rushed to the agricultural well and found the entire plant damaged. They rushed the injured to the government hospital at Balotra by a private vehicle. The two injured men—Chain Singh, 50, and Vikram Singh, 50, were referred to Jodhpur as their condition was critical.
