Street food vendors in India have been coming up with bizarre recipes and weird concoctions in the name of food fusion ever since food bloggers have started posting their videos on social media.
In one such video, a bizarre dish was created by a street vendor who is known for adding just about anything while preparing omelettes. This time, he is seen making an omelette and adding Parle-G biscuits to the dish.
The vendor begins by cracking two eggs into a bowl, followed by chopped onions, salt and masala. Then he pours the mixture into a pan and cooks the omelette in butter.
Then he bizarrely layers the omelette with Parle-G biscuits and grated cheese. He garnishes the omelette with chopped coriander leaves before serving. A video of the street vendor making this omelette was shared on Instagram by the page @foodb_unk.

“I would prefer to die than eating it,” a user commented. “It’s not his fault. If someone has to be blamed it’s the food vloggers who visit them,” said another. Another person called it “parlemlete” sarcastically. “At this point its all permutations & combinations,” wrote another netizen. “We need to get rid of such food bloggers who promotes such food,” another person wrote.
In February last year, a video of the same vendor making a ‘Dairy Milk omelette’ had gone viral. The undated video showed him making a regular masala and cheese omelette of four eggs before he grated chocolate on it and poured chocolate syrup over it.
The cook then added four bread slices and some cheese slices over the fully packed omelette and flamed the dish. Lastly, he poured a generous dose of chocolate syrup into the omelette and served it with a handful of different sauces.
