Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a resolute declaration on Monday, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire in Gaza and vowing to “Resign Hamas to the Dustbin of History.”
This uncompromising stance follows the recent release of Israeli soldier Private Ori Megidish, who had been held captive by Hamas since their extensive attack on Israeli soil on October 7.
In a press conference, Prime Minister Netanyahu firmly expressed that accepting a ceasefire would be akin to surrendering to Hamas, emphasizing, “That will not happen.” The Israeli Defense Minister confirmed that Private Megidish is in good health and has been reunited with her family.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) continued to escalate their operations in Gaza, launching a significant ground offensive on the city’s main northern area. This came on the heels of a relentless campaign, with the IDF reporting over 600 militant targets struck in the Gaza Strip.
As the conflict enters its fourth week, the Palestinian civilian population remains in a state of dire need, grappling with severe shortages of essential supplies, including fuel, food, and clean water.

The situation remains highly volatile, with no immediate resolution in sight, as the world watches closely, hoping for a peaceful resolution to this ongoing crisis.
However as per the recent update,
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has categorically rejected the notion of a ceasefire in Gaza, instead emphasizing the need for “a time for war.” This decision comes despite persistent calls from the UK and other international allies for a humanitarian pause in the ongoing conflict.
Political leaders in the UK have urged for a temporary halt in hostilities, aiming to provide safe passage for Palestinians out of Gaza and facilitate the distribution of much-needed humanitarian aid.
Similar appeals have emanated from the United States and other nations, but Netanyahu has made it clear that Israel will not comply with these ceasefire requests.
During a press conference, the Israeli Prime Minister cited biblical wisdom, stating, “The Bible says that there is a time for peace and a time for war. This is a time for war.”
He likened the situation to America’s response after the 9/11 attacks, implying that laying down arms would be analogous to the U.S. doing the same in the face of such a dire threat.
