The CEO of Kerry Dairy Ireland says the milk processor has experienced an unprecedented spring milk supply.
Pat Murphy told farmers that the good weather has contributed to the highest volume of milk ever processed in Kerry.
Mr Murphy noted that while the UK and Ireland are performing well, milk output internationally varies, with America remaining static, Europe down, and New Zealand up by 2 per cent.
He stopped short of predicting future milk prices, but mentioned economic challenges such as the potential impact of US tariffs on consumer demand and a declining birth rate in China.
Despite these challenges, Pat Murphy says Kerry Dairy Ireland started the year robustly, with all factories operating at full capacity.
