Mumbai, Jan 4 (UNI) The Maharashtra Cabinet on Thursday took 10 important decisions in its meeting, including a subsidy of Rs 5 to farmers for milk and relief to government employees who joined the service after November 2005 under old pension scheme, among others.
The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, was attended by both of the Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar among other ministers.
Among some of important decisions taken by the state government included a big relief to farmers, relenting to their demand of a subsidy of Rs 5 for milk.
In a major relief to government employees, the government agreed to give pension to its employees who joined the service after November 2005 under old pension scheme, as per pre-Nov 2005 advertisement option.
It has also fixed a toll of Rs 250 for Sewree-Nhava Sheva Sea Link.
In order to remove irrigation backlog in Vidarbha, it was decided to relax the condition of water availability to the Vainganga-Nalganga project.
The government also decided to give capital grant to Ichalkaranji Powerloom Mega Cluster to promote
powerlooms, because of which, 400 industries will benefit.
It sanctioned Rs 750 crore for Nanded-Bidar new broad gauge project.
It was also decided to implement ‘Silk Samagra 2’ scheme for development of silk industry in the state.
