Bicholim: A man at Sanquelim allegedly killed the ten-year-old brother of a co-worker after he was sacked from his job at the dairy unit in Vithalpur on Saturday night.
The accused is identified as Chandu Patil, a native of Shegao, Maharashtra.
According to reports, he ran away after the murder on a scooter of the dairy owner.
Police said Harshad Ali, a UP native, was hired to work in the dairy on Thursday.Harshad had come to Goa last week with his young brother Sameer, which upset Patil. They engaged in a heated argument with dairy owner Bhalchandra Bakre.
Following this, Bakre fired Patil and allegedly threatened him and Harshad with dire consequences.
Post midnight, police said Patil entered the unlatched room when all were asleep and took the minor to the cowshed. “He killed him by crashing his head with a stone and fled,” police said.
The boy was declared brought dead at the health centre.
