Daltonganj: Here is some good news for students of 12 govt primary schools located in Chiyanki block. The Jharkhand Milk Federation (JMF) on Wednesday rolled out a gift-milk scheme, under which 200 ml pouches of flavoured milk will be provided to 1,200 students.
The pouches will be procured from Medha’s dairy plant located in Gankey.
The initiative was launched from the upgraded girls’ high school, Chiyanki, by deputy commissioner (DC) Shashi Ranjan and JMF’s managing director Sudhir Kumar Singh.
Addressing the girls, DC Ranjan said, “Have milk daily. It will keep you fit and fine.”
DSE Randhir Kujur said, “We have asked the school management committees of the 12 govt primary schools to avail of the scheme as most of the students come from low economic strata.” TNN
